The Good Neighbor Garage is an automotive industry training program that repairs donated cars and places them with disadvantaged families in the metro area that need transportation for employment purposes. In order to be eligible for the program, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Have a valid Colorado Driver’s License
  • Show proof of insurance or ability to be insured
  • Provide Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Have no other vehicle in the household
  • Income below 150% of poverty line
  • Ability to pay $500-1200 placement fee
  • Never received a car from Good Neighbor Garage in past

If you believe that you meet these guidelines, the next step is to fill out an application in one of the following manners:

  • Request in writing that an application be mailed to you stating that you meet our qualifications
  • Download an application, and mail it to us with a statement that you meet our qualifications.

Our director will review all applications. Applications that do not meet guidelines will be disqualified. Candidates that pass our initial selection process will be asked to visit us for an interview. After the interview, the application will be forwarded to our Good Neighbor Garage Review Board that will make the final determination at their sole discretion. Approved candidates will be placed on a waiting list that will be sorted by our priority guidelines and subject to available cars.

Once again, we appreciate your interest and look forward to serving you within our program guidelines.
